Site Supervisor
Community, Family & Youth Services
Salary Range: $43,279 - $56,813
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Mon. – Fri.
The Polk County Community, Family and Youth Services Department has an opening for a full-time Site Supervisor at the Eastside Senior Center, 1231 E. 26th Street, Des Moines, Iowa.
Duties involve directing and supervising the operation of a full service senior citizens center, including responsibility for planning transportation, meals, program development, daily activities and building rentals; ensures that program operations comply with health and County regulations and policies; provides information and referral assistance to program participants; may supervise youth programs.
High school graduate or equivalent required. One year of related work experience preferably in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that will have provided the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Knowledge of the social, physical and mental needs of the elderly; community resources/services and excellent record keeping skills necessary. The ability to operate a computer and other general office equipment required.
